AppTek's bi-directional apps provide real-time speech and text translation on mobile devices.
Applications Technology (AppTek) just released two Speech-to-Speech translation apps for free on the Apple App Store. For a limited time, users may download Omnifluent Mobile Spanish/English and Omnifluent Mobile Arabic/English at no cost.
Omnifluent Mobile has been used for traveling abroad for business or pleasure. Additionally, it also has been deployed for patient intake at clinics and health institutions. The app can be used for numerous one-on-one communication and conversations. In addition to providing instantaneous and live speech to speech translation, it can record, transcribe and archive the content for future reference. Users can speak directly into their iOS devices in the available languages and receive an immediate spoken translation. The speech input and output is also displayed as text on the screen. Users will also have the ability to access a large set of free pre-loaded phrases, or record phrases themselves. Options to edit translations and alter the gender of the speaking voice are also available for natural-sounding responses.
Omnifluent Mobile is part of AppTek’s Omnifluent suite of human language technology (HLT) products enabling automated translation of multilingual audio, video, and text content across multiple languages and dialects. AppTek’s patent-pending hybrid machine translation (MT) is combined with automatic speech recognition (ASR) on a single integrated platform, providing a comprehensive speech translation tool.
